Are they more prone to infection? Do they hurt more than other tattoos? Do they fade? If so, how quickly? I want to know everything. My boyfriend has had one on his inner bottom lip for about 2 years now. He said it hurt worse than the ones on his forearms, but it wasn't completely intolerable. It hasn't faded at all so far from what I can tell. I'd say give it a try, it couldn't be worse than drilling over bone! That's the place to get your girlfriend's name tattooed. That way you will get laid and it will be out of sight of your next girlfriend after this one dumps you.I have an inner lip tattoo. I have three other tattoos, and the inner lip tattoo hurt the LEAST out of all of them. It did hurt, but mostly just felt like something was vibrating against my lip. It took about five minutes or so for the artist to do the tattoo, the prep work took longer than the actual tattoo. I don't think they are more prone to infection. There is essentially no after care, just avoid eating/drinking for a few hours and you'll be fine.
For most people they do fade and will have to be redone after about 2-3 years. Your mouth is really acidic and eating/drinking is going to wear down the tattoo. But, it really depends on your body. For some people, the first time they get it done the ink "falls out" and they have go back and get it redone. Again, this really just depends on your body's healing process, everyone is different. For some, an inner lip tattoo will stay after the first tattooing, for others they might have to get it redone several times. You might want to look for an artist who will touch it up at no charge.
A lot of artists won't do inner lip tattoos, I had trouble finding someone who would do it AND had experience with them. Overall, I am incredibly happy with my inner lip tattoo. I love it. It's a personal decision and a lot of my friends who know I have it definitely had some not so nice things to say about it. The good thing, though, is that you can decide who to show them to. I say if you want to do it, go for it.they hurt worse and they fade in time;...youre mouth sheds cells quickly and it may be 4 or so years but like tats on feet, it will fade. i dont understand the point of an inner lip tattoo anyway...not saying its bad i jsut dont get it. you hae to roll y our lip down to show people..lol anyway good luck to ya#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
